The Bay of the Mont-Saint-Michel, between Brittany and Normandy

Day 1 – Discover the Bay as few people see it

• 18H30, retour au gîte – Temps libre - Dîner préparé par notre traiteur et livré – Nuit.

• Late morning: arrival at your gîte, La Maison canadienne, situated at Boucey (9 kilometres from the Mont-Saint-Michel). Welcome and settling in.

• 13.00: Lunch, specially prepared by our caterer and delivered to the gîte.

• 15.00: Your horse drawn carriage collects you for a tour of the Bay, during which your guide will explain the project to Restore the Maritime Character of the Bay.

• 18.30: Return to the gîte. Free time. Dinner prepared by our caterer and delivered to the gîte.

Day 2 - Tour of the Mont-Saint-Michel and the Bay

• 08.00: Breakfast delivered to the gîte.

• 09.00: Departure, unaccompanied, for the Mont-Saint-Michel. After visiting the village with the help of our information sheets, you join the guided tour of the Abbey. Then explore at your leisure the narrow streets and alleyways of the Rock.

• Lunch at the Ferme Saint-Michel.

. Walk in the Bay with our local nature specialist. Return to the gîte.

• Dinner is a superb seafood platter, delivered to the gîte.

Day 3 – The Bay on the Breton side

• 08.00: Breakfast delivered to the gîte.

• 09.00: Leave the gîte for Cancale with your luggage (own transport). Take the ‘sea train’ and discover the Bouchots (posts used for mussel farming) OR visit an oyster farm, before driving on to Saint-Malo.

• 13.00: Lunch of Breton pancakes at a Crêperie within the Ramparts.

• 15.00: Tour of the Ramparts of Saint-Malo with an audio guide. Free time.

• End of the Nature Weekend programme.

Price includes: gîte accommodation (including linen, cleaning and taxes). Meals from lunch on Day 1 to lunch on Day 3, including drinks. The horse-drawn carriage tour and guide. The tour of the village with our information sheets. The tour of the Abbey of the Mont-Saint-Michel. The walk in the Bay with our guide. The sea-train excursion to the Bouchots OR the visit to the oyster farm. The tour of the Ramparts of Saint-Malo with audio guide.

Price does not include: Transport. Personal expenses. Cancellation and repatriation insurance.

Terms of payment: 30% deposit when booking. The balance not later than 8 days before arrival.
